Unit 62 - Adjective + to...


Jim doen't speak very cleary.
- So It's hard to understand him.
- So He is hard to understand.

* difficult / easy / hard / impossible / dangerous / safe / expensive / cheap / nice interesting
Ex)
- Do you think it is safe to drink this water?
   Do you think this water is safe to drink?
- Your handwriting is awful. It's impossible to read it.
   Your handwriting is difficult to read.
- I like spending time with Jill. It's very interesing to talk to him.
  Jill is very interesting to talk to.
Cf) adjective + noun:
This is a difficult question to anwser.

* It's nice of you ~~
 This structure use to say what you think of what somebody does: 다른 사람이 한 행동에 대해 느낀점을 표현할때,
- It was nice of you to take me to the airport. Thank you very much.
* clareless / clever / considerate / follish / generous / kink / mean / silly / stupid / unfair
EX)
- It's follish of Mary to quit her job when she needs the money.
- I think it was very unfair of him to criticize me.

* I'm sorry to ~~
To say how somebody reacts to something:
- I was sorry to hear that your father is sick.
* happpy / glad / pleased / delighted / sad / disappointed / surprised / amazed / astonished / relieved
- Was Tom surprized to see you when you went to see him?
- We were glad to get your letter last week.
